Description
A light, refreshing summer drink combining crisp cucumber, tangy lime, and bubbly sparkling water, perfect for hot days and easy to customize.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 medium English cucumber (about 8 inches / 200g)
- 2 large fresh limes (about 4 tablespoons juice)
- 4 cups (960ml) sparkling water, plain or flavored with no added sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons (15-30ml) honey or agave syrup (optional)
- A handful of fresh mint leaves (optional)
- Ice cubes
- Optional extras: jalapeño slices, pinch of sea salt, cucumber slices for garnish
Instructions
- Wash cucumber and cut into chunks. Juice the limes to yield about 4 tablespoons of fresh lime juice.
- Place cucumber chunks in a blender and pulse until smooth. If too thick, add 1/4 cup (60ml) sparkling water to help blend.
- Pour cucumber puree into a pitcher. Add fresh lime juice and 1 to 2 tablespoons of honey or agave syrup, stirring until sweetener dissolves.
- Slowly pour in 4 cups (960ml) sparkling water and stir gently to preserve bubbles. Add fresh mint leaves if desired.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the cooler over. Garnish with cucumber slices or lime wedges and serve immediately.
Notes
Use fresh lime juice for best flavor. Stir gently after adding sparkling water to keep bubbles. Chill sparkling water beforehand. Can muddle cucumber if no blender is available. Adjust sweetness to taste. Store leftovers in fridge up to 24 hours but add sparkling water just before serving to maintain fizz.
