Football Party Buffalo Chicken Dip

  • Author: Natalia
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Description

A simple, spicy, and creamy buffalo chicken dip that comes together in 10 minutes of prep and bakes to perfection. Perfect for game days, parties, or quick weeknight snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups shredded chicken (rotisserie or canned, drained)
  • 8 oz full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Frank’s RedHot Original hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese dressing
  • 1/2 cup extra shredded cheddar cheese (for topping)
  • 23 stalks green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Shred the chicken and set aside.
  3. Cut the cream cheese into cubes and soften it in the microwave for 20-30 seconds or let it sit until pliable.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, ranch dressing, and blue cheese dressing. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  5. Stir in the shredded chicken and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.
  6. Transfer the mixture to an 8×8 inch baking dish or 9-inch skillet, spreading it evenly.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese over the top.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden.
  9. Remove from oven and let sit for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.
  10. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crusty bread.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps. If making ahead, mix ingredients, cover, and refrigerate for up to 24 hours before baking. For leftovers, reheat gently in a skillet with a splash of milk or cream to maintain creaminess. This recipe is naturally gluten-free if using GF hot sauce and chips.
