Description
A spicy, creamy, and warm buffalo chicken dip that feeds a crowd with just five simple ingredients. Perfect for game day, this easy bake takes only 25 minutes total and is a guaranteed hit with both kids and adults.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces (225g) full-fat block cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup (240ml) ranch dressing
- ½ cup (120ml) hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
- 2 cups (200g) cooked and shredded chicken
- 1 cup (100g) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons blue cheese dressing (optional)
- 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, ranch dressing, and hot sauce. Mix until smooth and creamy with no lumps.
- Stir in the shredded chicken and half of the shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.
- Transfer the mixture to an 8×8 inch baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the top.
- Bake for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and the edges are slightly golden.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with chopped green onions if desired and serve with celery sticks, tortilla chips, or crusty bread.
Notes
For best results, use block cream cheese rather than spreadable tub cheese to avoid a watery dip. Shred your own cheddar cheese for better melting. If the dip is too spicy, add more ranch or cream cheese. If it is too runny, reduce the hot sauce slightly. This dip can be assembled ahead and refrigerated overnight before baking.
