Hot Cheesy Spinach Bacon Dip

  • Author: Natalia
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

A quick and easy 5-ingredient dip combining creamy cheese, smoky bacon, and vibrant spinach, perfect for parties and casual get-togethers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 oz (280g) frozen spinach, thawed and well-drained
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 8 oz (225g) full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (110g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Thaw frozen spinach and squeeze out as much moisture as possible using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
  2. Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat for 6-8 minutes until crisp. Drain on paper towels and crumble into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, and well-drained spinach. Mix until creamy.
  4. Stir in about two-thirds of the crumbled bacon, saving the rest for topping.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly into an 8×8-inch baking dish. Sprinkle remaining bacon pieces on top.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 15 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden around edges.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving with tortilla chips, sliced baguette, or crisp veggies.

Notes

[‘Squeeze the spinach well to avoid watery dip.’, ‘Cook bacon on medium heat for crispy but chewy texture.’, ‘Use softened full-fat cream cheese for best texture.’, ‘Do not overbake; cheese should be bubbly but not browned and dry.’, ‘Optional: add smoked paprika or cayenne for a spicy kick.’, ‘Make ahead by assembling and refrigerating up to 24 hours before baking.’, ‘Leftovers reheat well in oven or microwave with a splash of milk if dry.’, ‘Does not freeze well due to cream cheese texture changes.’]
