Description
A rich, creamy, and icy homemade keto-friendly salted caramel coffee frappe that tastes like dessert but keeps you in ketosis. Ready in just 5 minutes with simple pantry ingredients.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup strong coffee or cold brew (chilled)
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 to 1.5 cups ice cubes
- 2 tablespoons keto sweetener (erythritol or monk fruit blend)
- 2 tablespoons sugar-free salted caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon MCT oil or coconut oil (optional)
- A pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- If using hot coffee, brew it strong and let it cool completely in the fridge or freezer.
- Add heavy cream, sweetener, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt to a blender. Pulse briefly to mix and dissolve the sweetener.
- Add the ice cubes, cold coffee (or espresso), and salted caramel sauce to the blender.
- Blend on high speed for 30-45 seconds until the ice is crushed and the mixture resembles a thick milkshake.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or salt if needed, then blend for another 10 seconds to ensure smoothness.
- Pour into a tall glass.
- Top with whipped cream, drizzle with remaining salted caramel sauce, and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
- Serve immediately with a straw.
Notes
For best results, use coffee ice cubes to prevent dilution. Ensure coffee is completely cold before blending. Heavy cream is essential for texture and ketosis; almond milk will result in a thinner drink. Adjust sweetener to taste as cold temperatures mute sweetness.
